that about covers it

the serenity playlist is currently running. not the movie - just an attempt at regaining or maintaining. this song just played. it's almost too close for comfort. but sometimes that in itself is a comfort.

anyway. challenging weekend. more later.

***************************************************

God was in the water that day
Pickin' through the roots and stones
Trippin' over sunken logs
Tryin' not to make his presence known

God was in the water that day
Wadin' in careful steps
Bubbles risin' from his feet
Comin' up from the muddy depths

Castin' out a line
Castin' out a line to the shadows
Castin' out a line but no one's biting

I am at my pitiful desk
Starin' at the colorless walls
Wishin' I was any place else
Down into a dream I fall

Sittin' in a tiny boat
Driftin' on the mindless sea
And if I disappear
At least I'm floating free

Castin' out a line
Castin' out a line to the darkness
Castin' out a line but no one's biting

God was in the air that day
Breathin' out a haunted breeze
Tryin' not to make a sound
Shufflin' through the dried up leaves

God was in the air that day
Circlin' like a drunken hawk
Sweepin' with a hungry eye
Over the ground I walk

Castin' out a line…

For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible,..
everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him.
Colossians 1:16

Unless you assume a God, the question of life's purpose is meaningless.
Bertrand Russell, atheist

You are who you are for a reason.
You're part of an intricate plan.
You're a precious and perfect
unique design,
Called God's special woman or man.

You look like you look for a reason.
Our God made no mistake.
He knit you together within the womb,
You're just what he wanted to make.

The parents you had were the ones he chose,
And no matter how you may feel,
They were custom-designed with God's plan in mind,
And they bear the Master's seal.

No, that trauma you faced was not easy.
And God wept that it hurt you so,
But it was allowed to shape your heart
So that into his likeness you'd grow.

You are who you are for a reason,
You've been formed by the Master's rod.
You are who you are, beloved,
Because ther is a God!
poet, Russell Kelfer

yeah, SB the new one is very cool. lotta stuff that's kind of off the beaten track for her.

i heard some of the tracks on our local independent station and thought, "gee, the voice sounds like bonnie, but that ain't the sound i'm used to - but it's awfully cool!"

had to have the album. first one on the cube!
