This is my first attempt at mothering. Bear with me. I get political sometimes. I get bitchy sometimes. I get nuts sometimes, and sometimes I even get weepy and sappy. Don't like it? Don't read it. IT'S A FREE COUNTRY!!!!!

"Split rulings on Ten Commandments displays"
Here’s an interesting piece of judicial decision-making. Their justification for allowing the Ten Commandments is that they are a part of our legal history. Does that imply that the displays are just for educational show, and that makes them OK?
I wonder… because over the last few weeks I’ve been wondering what part of “Thou shalt not kill” is so hard to understand.
Correction:
Oops. Sorry. The actual text of the Ten Commandments reads, "Thou shalt not do murder." Which gets us into a thorny philosophical debate that I'd be happy to participate in if anyone wants to get things started; i.e., what's the difference between murder and plain old killing.
thou shalt not excessively worry about bullshit beyond thy control!
